The steadily increasing human tragedy that call for out pouring random act of kindness from individuals and corporate alike has also got deceptive and opportunistic people spur into action with upsurge of ‘self-advanced’ phony organizations. My concern is Africa is the target for this type of scheme where human distress and horror is turn into show. With this in mind, how might an organizer address human right abuse, lack of true democracy, child abuse and hunger and starvation with some measure of sincerity? Certainly; not by romancing the corrupt leaders responsible for the deplorable condition in the first place.
Using mentality as a guide or condition for morality, cultural fallacy —African trade mark and social forces generate the mentality to misinterpret greed for success. However, selflessness and total commitment has vital roles in the success of all organizations directed towards Africa by Africans. Hence, organizations directed by greedy desire promote fraudulence, irresponsibility, and lack of moral mentality which estranges organizers from the society they pledge to serve.
Fast ripe, fast rotten
Why the so call advancement seekers set up organization that dies as quickly as it has begun. Because like every thing else that roots itself in deception tends almost inevitably to degenerate into a mere exchange of nonsense. Even the few organizers with good intention are soon confronted with neoclassical economics, which incites them to neglect dimensions of morality that transcend explicit rules.
This is not an attempt to lump together all organizations under one umbrella. This is an attempt to pressure for performance improvement and measurable standards upholds. And that donors, governmental funders and business sponsors seek to ensure that their agents and the recipients of their financial support have the organizational capacity to deliver services effectively.
As soon as the money trickles down
The repression of egoism is never permanent; means that it returns in a hidden, duplicitous form as soon as opportunity (money) arises. A man, who condones another man who defrauds his own organization of thousands of dollars, is himself a man of questionable character. A man of no moral stance engages in habitual lies and controversy, as do most of the imposters; better yet represent himself and not my country. Africa is plagued by mentally unstable leaders and to alter our circumstances is to change our philosophy and not by replacing morons with airheads. Character, leadership and quality are inseparable, to say otherwise is akin to saying Sani Abacha and Jeffrey Dahmer deserves humanitarian awards.
And to all the well-meaning citizens
while we must remain optimistic and active we must also be cautious. Take knowledge Inventory before putting a penny where your heart is. Make sure your choice of organization includes a leader that demonstrates almost fanatical sense of responsibility and fierce loyalty. He should be able to communicate professionally with high level of integrity.
